What is home organizing?

Home organizing involves creating personalized systems to declutter and manage belongings. Clutter has been shown to raise stress levels, and by making intentional decisions about what to keep, clients can curate a living space that reflects their values and supports a sense of calm and confidence. Life-Style-ist builds organizational systems that are designed to be easy to maintain long-term.

What should I do to prepare for an organizing consultation?

No preparation is required. Life-Style-ist reviews the space in its current state to identify patterns that need addressing, in a judgment-free process. Sarah Overman is also a certified coach, supporting clients through what can be a vulnerable process.

Are organizing sessions with Life-Style-ist confidential?

Yes. All organizing and coaching sessions are kept confidential in accordance with Oregon and Washington State law. Before and after photos are only taken with the client's explicit permission.

Does Sarah work alone or with clients present?

Both are possible. Sarah can work independently on a space, or clients can work alongside her, which is often encouraged during the decision-making and purging phase since it helps clients understand and maintain the systems long-term.
